Justice & Peace

Neighborhood Children’s Parliament aims at the integral growth of children and their participation in the development of the society. Sarva Seva Sangh, Mumbai started Children’s Parliament in four slum communities last year.

On 26th August 2016, members of three Children’s Parliaments were given exposure to MIDC police station, Andheri (E). First, the children were taken to different departments of the police station and explained what each department does. Later a police officer explained to the children about various duties of the police force and procedures followed by the police department. There were 56 children who were delighted to visit a police station for the first time, interact with police men and women and even shake hands with them. The police women/men too welcomed the children with smiles.
