New members of "Friends of the SVD" in Sonohoulou, Benin

The association of the "Friends of the SVD" has another reason to thank God. Two weeks after celebrating its tenth anniversary, a new group committed partnership to the association. This group involves sixteen parishioners of the Parish Saint Joseph the Artisan, of Sonahoulou, north of Benin. On April 23, 2016, training took place wherein the Statutes and Rules of Procedure of the association were also addressed.

During the Mass celebrated by the Mission Secretary and Chaplain of the Association, Father Marek Pogorzelski, SVD the new members of the "Friends of the SVD" made to the parish community their commitment to the association. At the end of the Mass, the new members received accreditation documents and, for the first time publicly sang the anthem of the association. During the whole proceeding Father Marek was accompanied by two members of the Executive Committee:

We thank the parish priest, Father Anastase Nduwayezu, SVD for the warm welcome, and Father Joseph Kallanchira, SVD, the former pastor who started this group in October 2014.

For this new group and our SVD "friends," we wish you much joy and encouragement!

May St. Arnold Janssen intercede for you!

Father Marek Pogorzelski, SVD
