As a specific combination of POL priorities I would like to describe one of the events organized by our Fu Shenfu Migrant Centre in Warszawa. We help people there in various ways, including free classes of the Polish language.
Language learning does not necessarily mean only activities spent on a book and notebook - especially when the course participants will be happy to learn practical vocabulary useful in everyday situations.
Therefore, in the last days of January 2015 we invited a group of people who learn Polish in our Center to participate in culinary workshops, organized by one of the language teachers.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to learn vocabulary related to the topic of cooking, but also allowed the ladies to present their own skills in a cheerful atmosphere. They learned how to prepare healthy and tasty meal - on the basis of Polish recipes, but with the international "flavor".
As a result, on the table interesting dishes occurred. The participant of the workshop, exchanged their recipes, different experiences and good advices, what increased their motivation for learning Polish even more. It is worthy to point out that most of the ladies were Muslims and some Orthodox.
