“Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see” said John F. Kennedy, 35th president of the United States. Sarva Seva Sangh, Mumbai held BAL UTSAV on 10th November 2016 in Lotus Park, Gyan Ashram Campus, Andheri to cheer the children and to showcase their talents.

Around 150 children gathered from five slums who are members of neighbourhood children’s parliament by 10 o’ clock in the morning. After the BAL UTSAV was inaugurated by Fr. Donald D’Sousa, the children went around to various games stalls, enjoyed playing and winning prizes till noon. Games were concluded with ‘Bombing the City’ and children freely dancing around.

In the afternoon after lunch there was a formal gathering for children to present their talents. Children from all the five children’s parliaments danced and made everyone happy. Fr. Paul Vattathara, Provincial, SVD INM province and Mr. Pete, representing CFC members, who sponsored and supported the event, addressed the children. The children celebrated the day with great fun and returned gladly.
