Janvikas Society organized an exposure visit on 6th February 2018 to Madhya Pradesh State Cyber Cell (the only one in the whole of the state of Madhya Pradesh) in Indore, for the youth club members from various slums. There were about 80 youth who visited the cyber cell.
The exposure visit was organized to give awareness to the youth on the growing crimes through computer, internet, social media etc. The slum youth are more vulnerable towards such crimes as all of them use smart phones with internet facility and they have less or no information about cybercrimes. Mr. Jithendra Singh, the Superintendent of Police (Cyber Cell) and his team explained to the youth about cybercrimes, how to file a complaint and the precautions they need to take while using computer, mobile, internet and social media. Youth also had a chance to see the cyber lab, and the mobile cyber cell.
